The Ottumwa RAGBRAI® Committee will host an informational meeting for local merchants on Thursday, June 4 at 5 p.m.  The meeting will be held in conference room #1 at Bridge View Center. 

The purpose for the meeting is to help merchants prepare for the upcoming July 23 RAGBRAI® overnight stay in Ottumwa.  Attendees will be briefed on the number of expected visitors, any street closings or changes in the traffic near their businesses, what impact, if any, the temporary RAGBRAI® Ordinance may have on their planned activities, and a number of great ideas that businesses in other communities have implemented to make the most of the influx of potential customers into their markets.  A Des Moines Register representative will also present information and answer questions.
