RAGBRAI® Theme Contest Ends Monday

The Ottumwa RAGBRAI® Committee has invited local residents create a theme and logo for the bicycle ride's overnight visit in Ottumwa on July 23rd. The theme will be incorporated into the many events associated with the RAGBRAI visit and be used on promotional materials like signs, banners and T-shirts.

Time is running out for entries. The deadline for submissions is 12:00 Noon, next Monday, March 16th. Entrees may be submitted online to ottumwaragbrai@gmail.com">ottumwaragbrai@gmail.com or dropped off at the Mayor's Office on the first floor of City Hall.

The winner will be recognized at official Ottumwa RABGRAI® Kickoff event on March 31st, 4:30 to 6:30 PM at Bridge View Center. T-shirts with the logo will be available at the event. The theme and logo should be creative, fun and welcoming. All ages may enter. Entrants may write, draw and/or color their idea. If more than one person submits the same concept, a drawing will be held to select the winner.

The Publicity Committee reserves the right to alter or modify any idea or theme once selected. The winning entry becomes the property of the Ottumwa RAGBRAI Committee to use in any promotional purpose the committee chooses. The winner will receive a free T-shirt bearing the logo.
