Community Invited To Create Theme For RAGBRAI® Visit

Ottumwans are invited to enter a contest to create a theme and logo that will be used to prepare for and greet the thousands of bicyclists and their supporters who will stop in Ottumwa during RAGBRAI®, on July 23rd.

The logo will be used on banners, T-shirts, signs, the Internet and dozens of other ways to build enthusiasm in the community for the upcoming bike tour and also to help make Ottumwa a memorable stop for the thousands of RAGBRAI riders expected to spend the night in Ottumwa.

The theme and logo should be creative, fun and welcoming. Any one of any age may enter the contest. Entrants may write, draw and/or color their idea. If more than one person submits the concept, a drawing will be held to select the winner.

The Publicity Committee reserves the right to alter or modify any idea or theme once selected. The winning entry becomes the property of the Ottumwa RAGBRAI Committee to use in any promotional purpose the committee chooses.

The Ottumwa RAGBRAI Advisory Committee will select the winner. The winner will receive a free T-shirt bearing the logo.

The deadline for contest entries is 12:00 Noon on Monday, March 16th. The winner will be announced the week of March 30th. Entrees may be dropped off at the Mayor's Office on the first floor of City Hall or submitted online to ottumwaragbrai@gmail.com">ottumwaragbrai@gmail.com.
